Summer, summer, summer! Oh, how I love summer! And one of the best things about summer, especially here in the South, is all the wonderful fresh peaches! One of my favorite peach recipes is this Creamy Peach Freeze Smoothie Recipe. It’s quick to make and as refreshing as it is delicious. It’s practically summer in a glass.
Creamy Peach Freeze Smoothie Recipe
You’ll need:
1 1/2 cups frozen vanilla yogurt*
1 1/2 cups fresh peaches, diced and divided
1/2 cup organic milk
1 tablespoon sugar, or to taste. Substitute stevia or honey, if desired.
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon Wild Oats Marketplace Organic Ground Nutmeg
1/2 cup ice
Reserve 1/4 to 1/2 cup of the peaches and set aside. Add all remaining and mix together in a blender until smooth. Stir reserved peaches into smoothie. Put blender container into the freezer for about 10 minutes, or until the mixture begins to freeze. Remove from freezer, stir and pour into a glass or mug. Enjoy!
Make it boozy! Substitute a tablespoon or two of good quality dark rum for the vanilla extract. Decrease milk to 1/4 cup.
