The Mighty Peanut

Getting your daily dose of the mighty peanut might help keep the doctor away.

Two long running studies at Harvard have found that when consumed in small amounts on a daily basis, peanuts have been linked to longevity and lower rates of cancer, heart disease and respiratory disease. Peanuts also lower “bad” LDL cholesterol and raise HDL “good” cholesterol.

Peanuts are a compact source of positive energy. They are full of protein, healthy fats and fiber, all of which help you stay fuller longer and remain satiated. In addition, peanuts are rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and phytochemicals, making them an excellent snack to munch on daily. Grab a handful when on the go, or spread a tablespoon of organic natural peanut butter onto to slice of whole grain toast for breakfast or midmorning meal.

Let us know how you benefit from the mighty peanut.
