Wild Oats Announces Next Step in Affordable Organics Movement

First off, we would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our amazing customers for their ongoing support as we continue to lead the effort to make affordable organics available to all.

As many of you know, Wild Oats has long been a pioneer in the natural and organic foods industry having introduced the brand back in 1987—before it was mainstream to talk about the health and wellness benefits of everyday foods.

When we re-launched the brand two years ago we sought to do something that was previously thought impossible—lower prices to make certified organic products more accessible to the masses. Through our initial strategic partnership, we were not only able to exceed our sales expectations, but also develop the tools and learning needed to take the Wild Oats brand to the next level.

Now, we are ready for the next phase of our plan, which is to expand the line to multiple retailers and bring more exciting and inventive products to market. Please stay in touch with us by joining our eNewsletter to keep up on exciting new developments at Wild Oats.

We can’t wait to show you what’s next!

    Awesome news 🙂
I enjoy blogging for you and sharing recipes but I haven’t heard anything for a few months.
I am happy to see that everything is going well!

    • Oatie at Wild Oats says:

Hi Brandy! Thanks for being one of our favorite bloggers! We appreciate all that you’ve done for Wild Oats!

      • Brandy Oliver says:

        Thank you 🙂
I am so happy to know I can still buy my favorite steak sauce, salsa, wild rice, and everything else!
I hope we could maybe buy online soon too!

  2. Joyce O'Dell-Lehmer says:

We sure wish you would bring that delicious nutty peanut butter again. We loved it!

    • Oatie at Wild Oats says:

Hi Joyce! Thanks for letting us know! We definitely listen to customer feedback and appreciate you taking the time to reach out!

  3. Anna says:

This brand was the only thing worth buying at Walmart. Will follow to next retailer if prices and quality stay good!

  4. Barbara Buck says:

I am particularly interested in hearing where I can purchase more of the Wild Oats Organic Steak Sauce. Wonderful tasting product! I am no longer able to find it in stores.

    • Oatie at Wild Oats says:

HI Barbara! We are working on introducing new shopping options for customers! Please stay tuned and thanks for your support!

  5. Robin says:

I found you in Weatherford, TX., Walmarts but not so much here in Maricopa, AZ. Just a few products. I’d sure like to find more of your products here in Arizona!

    • Oatie at Wild Oats says:

Hi Robin! Thanks so much for letting us know that you enjoy our products! We are working on introducing new shopping options!

  6. Adrianna Zeneberg says:

So grateful to find an unsweetened organic cereal. I buy your toasted oats by the case. Thank you for offering something other than candy for breakfast!

  7. Honey Irvin says:

I love your products, and am so glad to be able to purchase them at Walmart, but get really disappointed when your products are not being replaced soon enough, I would really like to be able to purchase them online directly from you,.
    God bless you all,

    • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

Hi Honey! We are looking into an online option to see if it is the right fit! Please know that we have our customers in mind!

    • Brandy Oliver says:

I agree 🙂 An online option would be perfect!!
I have a hard time finding certain products at my nearest Walmart and they don’t have a lot of the products we like. I would buy regularly online! (That’s how I shop most of the time anyway!)

  8. Denielle says:

We love getting your products at Walmart here in Indiana. Hoping you continue working with then as there are not very many local stores offering anything organic in our immediate area.

    • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

Hi Denielle – We understand that many of our customers live in rural/limited areas and we are keeping that in mind when planning for the future. Thanks for reaching out!

  9. Nancy Burkhardt says:

Please go to Target or Kroger!

    • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

HI Nancy! We are definitely looking at our customers’ favorite places to shop. Thanks for sharing with us!

  10. Linda Cornett says:

Thank you for keeping us up on your new developments. The 3 Walmart’s I shop are cutting way back and when talking with management, they give you the cold shoulder and mumble something “business sounding” – I was only buying your products and now can’t because they’ve stopped stocking many items. For one, they still carry your salad dressings but the ranch dressing they sell is their own brand of organic ranch dressing – not yours. Please stock Winn-Dixie or Publix as those are the only 2 available around here. Online would be good, too. Your products are a MUST in my pantry and we miss them…..you even converted my husband who didn’t think organic was any different than what you normally buy – he even noticed the difference in taste and quality. He’s a believer now….thank you.

    • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

Hi Linda! Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment and please know that we are definitely listening to your feedback!

  11. Christine Spagnola says:

I am sad not to find Wild Oats chicken broth…the best tasting brand…better than homemade. I am so disappointed that Wal-Mart is no longer carrying your products.
Please let me know where to find this great product in future.

    • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

Hi Christine! We will definitely keep our customers posted on new happenings! Thanks for reaching out!

  12. Ann says:

I’ve depended on Wild Oats seasonings & spices from Walmart – now, it seems they are always “out of stock”.

A seller on Amazon was selling The Wild Oats Organic garlic for over $10.00 per 2.5oz. 3 for +$31.00. That price compared to the $2.49 from Walmart means that customer is being gouged??!!

Frankly, I’m ready for Wild Oats to sell their own products online. You truly need consistency in availability & pricing which I’ve not yet found 🙁

    • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

Hi Ann! We have nothing to do with any of the high-priced products that you are seeing on Amazon and we are definitely considering an online option! Thanks for reaching out!

  13. Holly says:

I’ve been trying to locate a Walmart here in North Carolina with your Wild Oats toasted oats cereal in stock for my baby for the last month. After calling your customer service number just now, I found out about Walmart phasing out your products and I’m very sad to hear that. Hopefully the other retailers will pick up your products at equally outstanding low prices. I was so excited to find organic black beans and organic “Cheerios” at such crazy low prices. I signed up for your e-mail newsletter now and look forward to finding out where I can purchase your product again very soon.

    • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

Thanks so much Holly for taking the time to write us and let us know that you love the products! We are very grateful to our wonderful customers!

  14. Beth Rork says:

Praise God. I am almost out of Tequila Lime Salsa and it is my favorite; I also love the frozen spinach and mixed veggies. I don’t trust the WalMart Organic Brand.

    • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

Hi Beth! Please know that we are working hard on new solutions with our customers in mind!

  15. Kim B. says:

I am so disappointed my local Walmart of Plainwell, Michigan has been dropping your products. I have loved every one of them but only discovered your brand recently. Walmart did not give Wild Oats enough time to grow in popularity. I sure hope to find Wild Oats again in Walmart or in my local Meijer as they are the only grocery shopping options. I would also buy online if a large order offered free shipping.

    • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

Thanks Kim for your comment! We are looking at a variety of exciting new options that we can’t wait to share with customers!

  16. Rach says:

I see a lot of positive feedback here on your products, so I hate to be the one to go against the grain here, but… Your organic salad dressings are really gross. I was so excited to have found an organic solution, instead of buying Kraft or something similar, so I went ahead and bought five different ones to replace the usual nonorganic dressings we usually use. I am extremely disappointed in the taste of ALL of them. Again, sorry to have to say that, but what a huge let down that was.

  17. Lisa says:

My pantry is running out of wild oats… Is there anywhere to buy your products currently? We, our kids especially, need our Wild Oats! 🙂

  18. Janzelle Willars says:

I just now saw from one of the comments that your customer service department told them that WalMart is phasing out your products. That is awful! I depended on getting your organic products from there. I live in a small town and there is not much availability for organic products at all. Safeway, Smith’s and Basha’s all carry some of their own store-brand organic products, but they are priced way more than the Wild Oats line is at WalMart. I want to add my vote for getting an online ordering option available!

    • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

Hi Janzelle! Thanks for taking the time to reach out and please know that we are looking closely to see if an online option is feasible!

  19. Jim says:

Awesome! Walmart quit carrying your breads which are the best ever! I enjoy your canned and frozen veggies too!

  20. Debbie Young says:

I am very excited to hear that you will be expanding your products to more retailers. I love the Wild Oats products!

  21. Karin Page says:

Love, love this Company, will not buy anything but Wild Oats, all the Food tastes so so much better, thank you

  22. Marlene says:

I was so excited when Walmart started carrying your brand, thinking they were moving in the right direction, offering more organics. I started noticing the items dwindling and then read they won’t be carrying them anymore. Boo.

    Online ordering would be awesome.
Here’s a suggestion: offer your products through Vitacost. They already do it right 🙂

    • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

Thanks so much for the great suggestion!

    • Holly says:

I’m not sure what Vitacost is, but I too was going to suggest Thrive Market which is like an online warehouse shopping club with organic and healthy products. Would love to see Wild Oats available on there!

Also talked to my local Trader Joe’s about Wild Oats this morning they suggested that I contact corporate Trader Joe’s on their website to suggest them picking up the Wild Oats brand. (We should all contact them!!) 🙂

      • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

Great suggestions Holly! Thanks so much for looking out for us!

        • Bianca says:

Yes yes yes! Trader Joes is the way to go!
I was also just having this conversation with my husband as he suggested me to call Trader Joes headquarters in CA and suggest them to “represent” Wild Oats thru their Trader Joes name on it!
It will be a no brainier to them since that’s exactly how they bring products to their shelves, and a sure successful partnership as they do not have as many Organic options as you guys!!! Trader Joes is a GREAT market! Go for it!!
And yes, a WILD OATS online store would be a MUST and PRIORITY BY NOW!!!
Can’t wait. My pantry is empty…
Come on back Wild Oats !!

Let me know if I can help with anything!

          Love Wild Oats Organics!

From NJ (say hello to Mr Tom Casey from me 🙂

          • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

Thanks so much Bianca for all your great ideas! We have exciting things in the works that we can’t wait to share!

        • Bianca says:

          Oh and another thing…

Why not open your own Wild Oats Stores ???

          That would be AMAAAAAAZING !

  23. Ann Bell says:

I am so enamored with these products. My only problem is the limited availability at my local Walmart!

  24. Carolyn says:

I am so looking forward to finding the granola bars, Nacho Chips, and many other items that Walmart stopped carrying. The Wild Oats Granola bars are better than any other brand. I’ve been craving them so much over the last few months!

  25. Randi Pokladnik says:

My Wal Mart in rural Ohio stopped selling Wild Oats so I stopped buying anything there. It use to be great I could get nearly everything Wild Oats for my order. Looking forward to finding your products again… we loved the cereal and olive oil!

  26. Patsy says:

My husband and I only eat organic products. We were so pleased to find your ketchup. It IS the GREATEST tasting we have ever tried. Now all our friends love it too. We are so worried that we (all of us) won’t be able to purchase it at Wally World. Please make it available on line………

    • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

Hi Patsy! We are looking at various online options so see if one is a good fit! Thanks for being such a great customer!

  27. Katie Jeka says:

We only buy USDA Organic foods and Wild Oats is our favorite brand. Our local Walmart has stopped selling the salsa and seems to be narrowing down on other Wild Oats Organic products as well (salad dressing & elbow macaroni, for instance). We need more choices that will stock (and keep stocked) Wild Oats Organic products other than just Walmart. Thank you so much for giving us a healthier choice at a much more reasonable price. We’re so grateful.

  28. vickie says:

I love your salsa. I was buying it at walmart in Houma Louisiana. Walmart stopped carrying the wild oats brand. I would like to know where I could buy your products. My family really misses the salsa , vegetables and the soups.

    • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

HI Vickie! We are working to introduce new options! Thanks so much for being such a dedicated customer! 🙂

  29. Mira | FoodSmartMom.com says:

So happy you’re expanding to other retailers, I hope the prices don’t expand, too! I usually go to Walmart here in Fort Worth for your products only but it’s disappointing to see they are failing to stock certain items like chicken broth. Luckily, the spice rack and apple sauce shelf seem to always be stocked well!

    • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

Hi Mira! Thanks so much for your comment and please know that as we expand to various retailers we are still focused on offering organic foods at affordable prices!

  30. Jane says:

I hear a lot of “listening”, “considering”, and “looking” but not much “doing”. Do you have a time table for having your products in stock at another retailer?

    • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

Hi Jane – We apologize that it seems this way, but we are doing lots of things behind the scenes. We will announce new retailers as quickly as possible! Thanks for reaching out!

  31. Joyce Fowler says:

Count me in for on line shopping of your products although it would be nice to find the frozen items at a local store. How about Aldis. They are increasing their stock of organic products. Can not believe Walmart is this short sighted to discontinue carrying your products. They are carrying their own brand of organics now and I have not tried them since who knows who makes them. I also liked very much your regular macaroni and cheese. It was much much better than Annies. Thanks for listening to your customers.

    • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

Thanks so much Joyce for reaching out and please know that we appreciate it and are working hard for our customers!

  32. Virgil and Mary Bulcher says:

We definitely miss seeing your Honey Mustard dressing at Walmart. It is the only one Virgil likes. Please let us know when we can get it elsewhere. We like it but not enough to pay what Amazon is asking.

    • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

Hi Mary! We will keep our customers updated on where to shop for our products. Thanks so much for letting us know how much you like the dressing! Also, please know that we have nothing to do with the Amazon resellers that are currently offering the products. Thanks!

  33. Dr. Donald Gordon says:

I am down to my last few bottles of salad dressing. Why don’t you sell and ship direct?
Have you tried Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s which really caters to your demographic?

    • Chelsea Vurciaga says:

Hi Dr. Gordon! We are considering a variety of options and looking to find the right solutions for customers!
